Who thinks it is posible that Transformers will gross more then the $1,835,300,000 Titanic did worldwide. If not where in this list do you think it will land?

Nope won't happen
Titanic actually happened and people all over the world know about this
Transformers won't draw the female crowds who want to see a love story

It'll be like any other summer movie. Will do amazing business for a few weeks, then drop off the face of the Earth. If none of the Star Wars prequels could knock Titanic out of the top spot, then TFs doesn't stand a chance.
That list is absurd by the way. Spidey 3 is #10?! With the increasing price of movie tickets these days, it's like ANY movie can be a blockbuster when compared to movies from the past. They should always adjust the totals to take in account inflation, or should just go by tickets sold.

Not a chance; it'll do well, but not nearly that well; it won't even be the biggest movie of the summer. At best it'll take second, but I don't see that happening.
A bit off-topic, but I think Titanic, at least at the time it was in theaters, was vastly overrated, but there were reasons behind its huge success; tf simply doesn't have the formula to make that kind of money, but hopefully it isn't also as overrated.

Man, there are some crappy movies on that list; people have no taste.

Harry Potter vs. The Allspark? I think Transformers will take a hit when it comes out, but I don't think it will fall off as fast.

This time around I don't think Haryy Potter will be as tough as he used to be
All the talk is on the Transformers
I would love to see The Order of the Phoenix but I will have to wait for cable since my I have nobody to see it with

I don't think that Transformers will be Titanic's iceberg, but i do think it will be in the top 20.

I think I am going to stick with my guns and say it will do right at 200 million in the US. My opinion is they moved up the release date by a day to get an extra day with out competition

It stands a chance tho... this is a genre that hasn't been accomplished on this scale before.
For once, there are robots that at least APPEAR to be live-action, to scale, and fast on screen. The visual effects alone will carry this one well into the next few weeks among fans.
I think at first there will be many folks who see it because they were once kids who played with these toys, but give it two weeks and the word of mouth will spark new revenue.
TF has at least a fair chance of dethroning a tired movie about a boat.

Egh Your Crazy Jeremy.. but i do hope it does AWESOME. I guess ill be there with Jeremy when it opens to see it. And i Know my mom and dad wanna see it which is rather unusual for them LOL.. Im not so sure it stands a chance with Titanic though. Yes i think it'll do Awesome in the box office but Titanic just has too much History and is a great film even though ive fallen asleep through it every time i watch it. TOO long for me..

I think that Transformers will do very well. but it has NO chance of beating out titanic. Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King was SUPER popular, but it was still $700,000.00 off of Titanic. Titanic was just watched by too many people. I think that it will be doing good to land in the top 10.

It's *Transformers* !! NOT the second coming of Christ.
EDIT: If Jesus shows up to watch the Transformers movie, I retract what I just said.

I could be wrong, but i just dont think that it will attract as many people as a movie like titanic. But i still think that the movie will do very well.

That's an anomaly - the LA premieres generally draw a ton of interest just for the hope of seeing the stars there as well.
