I think this will do very well. I actually know lots of women who are chomping at the bit to go see it (and they know nothing about Transformers). My brothers girlfriend who could care less about stuff like this is totally psyched to see this. I was completely shocked that she wanted to see it, as she is not the demographic that would normally anticpate this movie. Lots of girls at work are clamoring about it too, so I think this may really be a big deal this summer. Opening weekend will really show its true colors.
Moving the release day up a day crushed any chance "License to Wed" may have had to get any money at all...they moved their release date up and then Transformers did, so punch counterpunch. I think that is the only new competition there is.

No, it won't. I doubt it will be in the same range as Titanic. But imo, it can't compare to Titanic.

This is what Transformers has to compete with. Titanic Domestic: $600,788,188 32.6% + Foreign: $1,244,246,000 67.4% = Worldwide: $1,845,034,188 Transformers will do very well, and I am proud of what it has done so far, but i just dont think it can touch those numbers. And, they have not been adjusted for 10 years of inflation.

It could depending on how long they keep it in theathers and how many people go to see it before it leaves the theathers and how many times a person goes to see it.
