Looks like something that fits more along the lines of a cheesy 80s movie called "Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters."

Looks like Bumblebee is taking a break inbetween shots. It just hurts to look at these bot designs. They are just too busy. It's hard to make out what the heck everything is.

It's hard to make out what the heck everything is. That's because there is practically nothing there.

It wouldn't surprise me. If they are going to run the film down the tubes, might as well cause a few casualties among the morals in the world.

I don't watch the news - be it Fox News or anything else.

But like a trainwreck, I can't seem to look away... It kind of looks like Bumblebee is on a train track in that shot, too. A foreshadowing of things to come?

no, that is how they move the giant bots around the set. I for one find this bueatiful, these are the first bots in all of transformers history that have 100% realistic transformations. i love em and think they should spread thier shroud of joy over all of traqnsformers land

I admit I was, and still am, a bit skeptical about some of the designs, but bumblebee and prime are really growing on me and give me hope that this movie might actually be half-decent.

these are the first bots in all of transformers history that have 100% realistic transformations. Realistic based on what? From a militaristic viewpoint, these designs are crap. Many joints and connectors are easy to view, and the vehicle bodies provide a ton of gaps in the bot mode plating. No protective armor and easy to see internal structure = overworked Ratchet. The no-mass-shifting angle I agree is realistic. For the rest, well, we are talking about sentient transforming robots from another planet ....

see one thing i like about them is they accually look alive. They may be robots to us but they are just living beings to themselves.
I also like that they could accually move. G1 designs can only move in the cartoon, structualy they would have no range of movment as they are made of metal and have no flex. these on the other hand with thier open panels and many moving parts have a full fluid range of motion that is needed by a functioning humaniod.
they seem alive to me and that is basically why i love them

See, I think this is what Bay and company are going for. They are hoping by leaking all these images that by the time the movie comes around that the fandom will have excepted these hack designs and give in. By that point the fandom will be like well it's all we are going to get so lets just be happy with it. That's what I believe the plot againt the fans is. But my friends don't fret. I shall not give into this. I'm as bitter and narrow minded as they come. ;D That is unless they get their act togeather and change some of this disaster before it's too late.

You never really know. Some of these images and models could be used for a short time in the film. Cybertron forms, stripped down models, etc. It's hard to say since they are going to be done with computers.

How can you say they're 100% realistic transformations already without seeing them in action? That thing doesn't look like it could TF into ANYTHING in particular. It could be a Camaro... or it could be a Cybertronion rickshaw. I get the distinct feeling that the toys of these guys will be "shellformers". And didn't the Alternator toys have highly accurate and realistic transformations, right down to the car interior and the moving front wheels? I'm not the biggest fan of the Binaltechs/Alternators (they're a bit too complicated for my taste), but I would've much rather seen them as the basis for the movie characters, at least for the Autobots. Updated robot and vehicle modes, but still retaining their distinct G1 likenesses. And without looking like TF Bionicles.

TF Bionicles - good thing to compare them with. I was thinking along the lines of alternators as well.

yeah alts had really realistic trasformations, with the big hollow spots and the complete lack of realistic mobility. it looks like when these transform the "shell" splits into alot of pieces, because if the shell stayed in big solid chunkc the robots couldnt move fluidly
