Here lately I feal I am begining to loose intrest in toy collecting. Could be the lack of new stuff in my main line or money. Guess I will have to wait for Cybertron to decide if I stay in it or leave it behind and pack up the collection.

Not w/ transfomers I haven't, probably bc there's just so many lines; if I didn't like cybertron, I'd buy reissues, and then there's always alts, loc, hoc, wstf...so if I start getting tired of one line another will likely take it's place. I've pretty much stopped collecting tmnt and gijoe. Don't worry gman; when cybertron hits you'll be back on the bandwagon.

Certain lines come and go in waves. There was a long time where I didn't buy any Transformers stuff (I was buying He-Man stuff at the time) Sometimes (like right now), I am not really buying anything. I bought a bunch of Robotech stuff a few weeks back, but i haven't actively pursued anything recently.
In terms of interest - getting burned out happens quite a bit. I'll get burned out for massive collecting all at once. I would have acquired too many transformers at a time or spent too much money on them & that naturally turns me off of it for a while.

One of 2 things could be happening to you right now. The first is you jumped full bore into a new toy line when you started Star Wars. For me a lot of times it causes a little regret both money wise and thinking that it could have been spent on what you currently collect.
The other problem I think a lot of collectors have is a completest attitude. There is no reason one needs to buy everything from one line. I use to talk myself into some of the worst Transformers when I collected Armada, Universe, and Energon for the sake of a complete collection. It really made my collection lack a personal touch.
My most recent dilema has been with GI Joe. I bought some single packs at a family dollar pretty cheap. Now I have an urge to build this huge army that I know from past experience I will only regret later. I know by diving into GI Joe it will take away from my MASK and G1 collecting, and believe me there is a lot left I really want in my collection from those 2 lines.
Ever since I have switched my focus to what I consider a more meaningful collection of my childhood memories I have felt a lot better to my collection. It really is me.
