It's been said on other boards (including tformers), and I agree that this looks like a fake; that ss just doesn' t look right and the box looks like it might have been resealed.
If it isn't a fake, I wonder how much something like this would be worth?

I vote fake....
The reason I said that, is that Wal-mart had the same toy car almost the same scale and everything in the same box....I thought it was a mistake, as well, but when I looked at it closely, it was not transformable. Although it looked like it was...Looked like someone had resealed it and put the model back in and took the sideswipe figure....it was black and everything....I was so excited until I realized it had been reshelved...
My assumption is that someone swapped it out and returned it as unopened....

When sideswipe first came out I saw that someone had replaced one w/ a model car. You wouldn't notice it unless you looked at it closely, and the person even put an autobot sticker on the trunk...

Ive heard some stories on Tfans about people swaping 1:24 regular cars with alternators, then asking for credit on the stores, its just lame.
