I seen this on your blog I loved that dude with the movie set up and he even has a Flux Capaciter
I bet you guys possibly turned all heads when all those Deloreans are riding down the street
One thing i'm curious about is do you take the Delorean out on special occasions or do you drive everywhere?

As a car guy this is good to see. Considering how expensive it is to keep the DMC 12 running. Looks like that was a blast.

One thing i'm curious about is do you take the Delorean out on special occasions or do you drive everywhere? I have it insured as a daily driver, so we drive it pretty often. I try not to drive it to work TOO much though, because it has more of a chance of getting nailed while sitting in the parking lot all day long. It's much more of a weekend car. It gets stored away in the winter months when there's too much salt on the roads though. The stainless body may be rust-proof, but the frame can still rust out like a normal car. You can get a stainless steel frame for the car, but they run close to 10K!!! Also, when we drive it to malls and other stores, we tend to park it way out in the sticks to avoid getting dings in the doors. Both our other cars have tons on small dents in the from jerks slamming their car doors into them. If all cars had gullwing doors, the problem wouldn't exist!

As a car guy this is good to see. Considering how expensive it is to keep the DMC 12 running. Looks like that was a blast. As far as exotics go, the DeLorean isn't too hard to maintain. Most of the internal parts can be found very easily and for fairly cheap. It's the EXTERIOR parts that will cost you an arm and a leg. Check out delorean.com to see what everything is going for. Apparently that company will be making "brand new" DeLoreans next year, built from unused original stock parts. They're going to be expensive though, make no mistake. I've been hearing the number "80,000" going around. Ouch! I think buyers will be better off buying a used original DMC and fixing it up like I did, unless their last name is Trump or Gates...

I bet it may be a pain if people do park near you and you can't get in the car because of the door"wings" need room to open all the way

I bet it may be a pain if people do park near you and you can't get in the car because of the door"wings" need room to open all the way That's another DeLorean misconception. The hinges for the doors are so far in on the roof that it makes them swing more upwards than outwards. You only need about 11 inches of room for clearance. The irish dude in this video demonstates... www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnVaiV4mxAs
