I signed a couple weeks ago; these animals are on the endangered species list, but are still being hunted..

I have to pass on this petition. I do not feel that the author of the page is fully informing the potential signer of the nature of the proposals, primarily in the lack of any significant supporting (for either side) data and in the utter contempt in which the site presents a summary (which feels very incomplete to me) of Wyoming's viewpoint.
I strongly believe we have a responsibility of stewardship for the planet, both in resources and in dealing with plants and animals. However, I also believe in the right for a person to protect their property and livelihood even if such things are not currently directly threatened.
The wolf issue in the northern Rockies is a long-standing argument, particularly in the Yellowstone area. Without any more information (including the exact wording and details of the proposals, without commentary), I lean towards the side of the proposals based primarily on past discussions with family that lives in the region (Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado) about the predators in the region and the short and long-term effects of their numbers and the methods of management of those numbers.
I apologize if this turned a bit too much political (I am trying very hard not to get onto a soapbox).
