Just wanted to let everyone here know that Jay (aka StrykerX) is in the hospital right now - I don't know how much he wants shared right now, so for the moment I'll leave it at that. He'll probably be in until at least Tuesday, so keep him in your prayers.
I'll be dropping by to see him tomorrow afternoon (possibly with CK), so I may be able to post more info then.

Just got back from visiting Jay. He's doing well, and is having to begin dialysis for his kidneys. Barring any further complications, he should be released on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Sorry I missed out on the trip. Good to hear that he is doing well.
I'll grant him a bit of recovery time before I start telling him to buy things again.... heh heh.

Well, I have polycystic kidney disease or they call it PKD. The end stage is renal failure so a kidney transplant will be in order. Basically, for me it was hereditary. My father has it and has already been through this. He has had a new kidney for 7 years. So the good part about it, is while it is a life changing occurrence, I can totally live with it and can get a kidney transplant and resume a normal life. At this point, the cycsts in my kidneys have gotten so big in both of my kidneys, they are going ot have to remove one of my kidneys even before I get a transplant, as I have no room left in my abdomen for any of my other organs, if they continue to grow. SO later this year after I have recovered from the surgeries last week, I will end up going through that surgery.
At that point, I will be in the hospital for about a week after the surgery and then recovering for about 4-5 weeks at home after that. apparently to remove a kindey it is more invasive tha just atttaching a new one. They have to go in through your back to get it out.
So while all of this sounds really kind of scary, it will all be for a good end once I get teh actual kidney transplant. The cycsts are wreaking havoc onmy life, as they frequently rub against each other and cause great pain. They have give me 100 pills of extra strength vicodin to help wit th epain when it occurrs, but sometimes the ony ting they can do is admit me to the hospital and treat me with demoral or morphine for the pain. They can't do anything with the cycsts, but they can help me manage the pain.
So that is the gist of what is wrong with me at this point, but don't think this will keep me away from seeing TF's on July 4th!
