I dont know if this has happened to Darthfather, but my power has been out for 30 hours! It went out yesterday morning and is still not back on. I am at the Library right now checking my email, online banking and the boards, but I dont know when I will be able to use the net at home.

I was at work last night and the power almost went out a few times, but not quite. The storm was pretty bad but there were still people coming in to shop..go home people, before you drowned or get electrocuted!

My power finally cam back on last night. It had been out for about 60 hours. I also found out that I was not alone, almost 100,000 other people in St. Louis also had no power. They had to bring in help from Kansas City to help get things back up.

YEOUCH! Is everyone okay? What happened to make the power go out for that long? After looking at the news paper, it was 160,000 people. Every one is fine, with that much power loss, you would think we had a tornado go through here. But we didnt, just an unusually bad thunderstorm. We had like over 20,000 lighting strikes and alot of downed trees and limbs. Oh, and 20,000 lightning strikes is very high, it was a site to see, like watching something on Discovery channel.

That is truely amazing. I'll bet it was awsome to watch , even if it did leave you with no power....

It was a sight to see. It was so good that it was worth the power being out for 2 or 3 hours, but not 60. I just wish that I had filmed some of the lightning.
