OKay, I used to be a huge Turtle fan, and I have NEVER seen in print, cartoon, or movie, anything as good as this new Turtle movie. They had all the characters down to a "T" (for turtle). I think this movie did what Batman Begins did for the Batman Franchise. The action was great, voices were great, and the Turtles...looked like turtles. I was entertained, and was very delighted to see the Fearsome Four back. It was seeing some old friends that have been gone for awhile. I felt Like a kid again, and it was great. I wish George could have done this with the new Star Wars movies. Take an old idea, and make it better. Raph was always my favorite Turtle, and he had the most screen time in the movie. (kinda like the first movie) So if your a Raph or Leo fan, you will think it's great. You get to see them fight it out, and see which turtle is the better fighter.
Anyway.... Turtles did for sure ROCK!!!

I thought it was a decent flick, but I still think the first two 90's TMNT movies were better. I also prefer the original cartoon to it. I love the campy humor in it. Krang RULES!! ![](http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y85/raggletag01/KRANGcommun3.gif)

I finally saw it a few days ago, and I was really disappointed..the story was horrid, the pacing was atrocious at times (and pretty average overall), and there was just too little characterization for everyone except raph and leo.
I did think the visuals were awesome, and the dynamic between raph and leo was spot-on, but almost everything else, other than the voice-acting, was forgettable. It just seemed like 80 minutes of nice animation w/ no substance; the whole "13 monsters/3,000 years ago/immortal warrior" storyline just didn't seem like a tmnt plotline. The next one, which it seems will involve the return of Shredder, will hopefully be better.

I agree, Destro, I think the new TMNT movie was a bit overrated. Not bad by any means, but still kind of humdrum, imo.

I think people now a days try and find to much in an animated movie like this. For what it was it was fun and my 7 year old loved it. It doesn't have to be like say Beauty and the Beast with an incredibly told story. It is about 4 turtles that run around and fight evil. I think it got its point across.

That's never stopped people from bashing the original TMNT show for being irrelevant and campy, so I have no qualms about pointing out the shortcomings of the newer Turtles in turn.

I didn't expect it to be Shakespeare; I did, however, expect it to be more than semi-coherent.

I guess that is kind of my point. for what it was the original TMNT was great. There is no way I would go back and watch it thinking I am going to find some award winning story that I could not pick up on as a kid. Take todays cartoons 9/10 of them stink like last years egg nog, but kids still love them because they are watching them for what they are. They are basically a half hour of pretend.
