Well, we made it back from another trip all in one piece. It was pretty busy down there. We didn't realize that it was peak season. Not to mention we were told by a New Orleans native that it was kind of an unwritten rule to spend Marti Graw in Disney World this year if you didn't want to be in town with all the out of town wackos that would be there this year.
I had a pretty nice haul of some statues and some pins. We also have the distinction of being the last family to ride Pirates of the Caribbean in its original state. Mrs. Bear carried on the closing tag. The next day we went to ride it again. and it was closed for remodeling. Apparently they are adding Jack Sparrow throughout the ride. Somewhat sad if you ask me.

No, I thought Sparrow was great even if he was played by a libby actor. I guess the ride stood the test of time for more then 30 years in Florida and 40 some years in California. It was becaquse of the ride that the movie was made and not vice versa. I will get over it. In fact when I go on it again for the first time I will probably love it. I just hope they don't put Jack Skellington in the Haunted Mansion or worse yet Eddy Murphy.
