Heh. Well I suppose it fits since he couldn't get it with the whole Star Trek II Fiasco.
If that had happened more recently, I bet there would be a big gloatfest between Star Trek fans and Star Wars fans.

Well two movies were supposed to come out around (relatively) the same time -
Star Trek II: The Revenge of Khan and Star Wars: Revenge of the Jedi
Paramount (Roddenberry) changed the name of ST2 to "Wrath of Khan" & Lucas eventually changed SW Ep VI to "Return of the Jedi" - the Revenge title never got used for either huge "space entertainment franchise"
...until now.

Well...in the CNN article it aludes to the fact that Lucas changed the title to Return of the Jedi, because in the 3rd movie now "Revenge of the Sith" the Sith kill almost all of the Jedi off....So "Return of the Jedi" was more appropriate, as they returned to power...I never knew that is why they changed it...I was so young...all I cared about were the toys... www.cnn.com/2004/SHOWBIZ/Movies/07/24/starwars.ap/index.html

the Revenge title never got used for either huge "space entertainment franchise" There are some pre-production "Revenge of the Jedi" posters running around the collector and repro markets - they just never got out to the theaters because of the name change. The other naming story from RotJ is from when they did the location shooting in Tunisia (and maybe elsewhere) - to throw the rumor hounds and spoilers off the scent, the cast and crew were given "Blue Harvest" gear (hats, jackets, etc), though the logo was still in the traditional Star Wars letter font.
