Monday, February 12th, 2007 The Associated Press posted a recap of Hasbro's 4th-quarter earning report, which mentions that George Lucas has more video release plans for Star Wars:
Looking ahead, Verrecchia said he expected Star Wars to continue to be a strong performer as Lucas plans a video release for this year's 30th anniversary, a Star Wars animated TV show next year and a live-action Star Wars TV show in 2009.
"He and his studio have a lot going on over the next several years to support the franchise," Al Verrecchia (Hasbro CEO) said.
No word on whether the 30th anniversary release will be in high-definition DVD format!?! Stay tuned...
