I know we are all partial to the Metroid series, but I used to do some MIDI work & did some arrangement work on this one MIDI file I found out there years ago. I mostly did some instrumentation and volume work to an otherwise really good (but weak-sounding) Metroid end theme. This is the theme starting from when Samus is standing on Zebes and continues on through the end of the credits. Check it out. It's basically the original song with additional instrumentation and panning...played back on my good ol' Wave Blaster 2 daughtercard synthesizer. cs.baylor.edu/~kennedyc/Metend.mp3

Just try it if you want to ditch the suit....

Yeah - but it is fun to try to beat it in the compressed time.
Plus I think the time on the Justin Bailey code is REALLY high. So you get the worst ending when you finish it with that code. (As opposed to a better ending where she goes into yet another "clothing style")

Actualy its very low. You get the best ending this way. The 8 bit swimsuit...

Well it is after being "very low" - but when you beat it, she turns back into Samus with armor. (Because the time is really high). However if you don't use the code & beat it fast enough to get swimsuit & then beat it again that quick, she goes to bikini.

You guys ever see this site? www.ocremix.org/index.php It features tons of remixes of video-game themes past and present. I guess they're all done by fans as labors of love. I'm partial to the remixes of old NES game themes myself, but I've downloaded others too. I like burning them onto cd and listening to them in the car while I'm on the way to work or the stores or wherever. Tony

Dude, I love that site! I have been there off and on over time and pick up tons of themes (haven't been there in months though)
Do you have the string ensemble playing themes from Double Dragon? Not perfect - but lots of fun! (hmm. I don't see it on the site or I would link to it)
I think Megaman 2 is the game I have downloaded the most Mp3s for from this site.

I'd have to say I downloaded Super Mario Bros remixes the most, or possibly Pac-Man. It's amazing how many remixes Pac-Man has, seeing as how it only has a couple small themes in the game. Just goes to show that a couple catchy themes and a lot of cool sound effects can go a long way. Oh yeah, I did hear that orchestral Double Dragon theme before. Very cool. I think I have it on my drive somewhere, but not on cd yet. And I downloaded several of the Mega Man themes too. My favorite of those is the Elec-man remix from the original Mega Man. Tony PS- Rose is getting me the PS2 Mega Man game collection for my birthday next week. But shhhh! It's supposed to be a secret. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

I've got an MP3 (thanks to Ranger Drakeson back when we roomed together in college) of an orchestral suite for Super Mario Bros.
That's a fun track to listen to.
