So far its just getting use to the controls that is bugging me. Then I was the same way with Prime. I say a week into playing it or about 5 hours worth I will have it. I keep mixing up the lock, jump, and fire buttons. Gameplay is great though. I am not use to not being alone with the other 3 hunter helping in the beginning. Graphics are great as well for the Wii! So far the pace is faster then any Metroid game I have played. I only have about 2 hours logged at this point. So I haven't seen to much. Just landed on the second planet and went to bed this morning.

Like it so far.
The pace is definitely better after "Metroid Prime 2: Metroid Prime AGAIN" aka "Metroid Prime 2: Monotony."
I love the controls. I'm pretty used to the wii controls after playing through Zelda. While you didn't have to worry about wiimote precision as much during walkabout mode in Zelda, Zelda + Wiiplay is a great way to have your skills honed for MP3.
Jeremy - I am sure you are right. I bet both of us (and the rest of the world for that matter) will become a lot more comfortable with these controls as more time moves on. There are actually quite a bit of strategies to use with these controls. A lot of them are intuitive if you have played a lot of FPS games - especially those with multiplayer (Quake, Half Life, Doom, etc...)

I am not big on FPS games. So Metroid is about it. I do have some practice with Wiiplay and Zelda though. Now all I need is time. Glad this weekend is a long weekend!

18 hours and 83% complete. Controles are the smothest thing I have ever used in any type of game. I don't know if I will be able to go back the either of the previous Primes again. The entire game is fast paced for the most part so far. The only real speedbump was on Elysia. I will not go any more into that. Its hard for me to put this game down though. I am guessing I am nearing the end. I am actualy looking forward to doing it all again in veteran mode.
On a side note I am not useing a guide or going online to find anything. The hint system in the game is enough for once!
