For those of you who play fantasy football, I pose this question to you: Larry, Shawn, or LaDanian and why?
For what it's worth, my pick order so far is:
1) Alexander - He loses Hutchinson at LT, but the Seattle offense should still be potent with Hasselbeck running the show and new pickup Nate Burleson running opposite DJax. He has always been the man in the red zone for this team, and I see no reason why he won't be again this year.
2) Johnson - He is a beast. He would have been MVP last year if he had started all 16 games instead of only 9. However, I have not read anything about how many carries he will lose to his backup Priest (that just sounds wrong, doesn't it?). Considering Holmes is coming off major surgeries, I think LJ is a solid pick. The only reason I have Alexander ranked higher is because he is Seattle's main threat in the red zone. KC's main threat is still Tony G, despite his 'down' year in 2005. BTW, the Chiefs' signing Ty Law and starting him opposite Patrick Surtain doesn't hurt the offense's chances to get more touches either.
3) Tomlinson - Too many question marks on this one for me to pick him higher than 3rd. Still probably the best all-around back, I don't know how he will perform with Philip Rivers at QB. Will Rivers find the magic that Drew Brees did with Antonio Gates? If so, it will open up the running game more for LT. If not, defenses will load the box to stop the run. Of course, because of Rivers, the Chargers may rely even more heavily on LT, the way they did before Brees and Gates stepped up. Tough one here.
What's your pick?
PS: Any Cubs fans out there who are Bears fans? At least you have a real football team, unlike that baseball team of yours.(stirring up trouble with Cubs fans on my 3rd post...I am slacking).
