Yo! ;D
So I have found myself having this ridiculous interest in almost all sports due to listening to our local sportstalk radio station so much around here.
I was thinking the NASCAR guys of Energon Station could run some NASCAR talk to keep me up on things. Thoughts, changes in the sport, events of any given race, talk about your driver, that sort of thing.
It has been awhile since Jack & Jeremy really went head to head on this sort of talk, and it would be nice to witness it here in its full glory.
Allow me to start the "grease monkey room" (so to speak) for NASCAR.
btw - I haven't really seen much yet this season (still very early), but I think I am going to go with Carl Edwards as my driver for now. No need to bring on smack - I am not a die hard......yet.

Why would you want to go with a Roush car. So far we are 3 races in and 2 Roush cars have had motors to lay down in the final laps. Fontana Biffles motor let go with very few laps to go. A Roush car Kenseth still won it, but Biffle led most of the race before the motor let go. Now for this past week at Vegas where Kenseth was dominant and his motor sorta layed down on him with 9 to go. This allowed Johnson to pass him in the final lap at turn 4.
Now for my driver I don't want to brag and jinx things, but he does have 2 wins and a second place finish with 3 races so far. This all with an interim crew chief due to Chad Knaus's 4 race suspension because of an illegal template modification after qualifying at Daytona.
Now for Marlin he is driving the 14 this year. Not with a high budget team, but good enough to let him go out and have some fun while being competitive.
My outlook this season though would be for Casey Kahne to continue surprising people by staying in the top 5 - 10 of points up to the chase.
Rookie pics J.J. Yeiley and Denny Hamilin both racing for Joe Gibbs Racing will be the 2 to watch. Hamilin coming off with the Bud Shootout win at Daytona should say something about him.
Just my NASCAR outlook on the Nextel Cup Series

Forgot to add. Toyota will be in competition next year with the Camry. Also rummors of Honda and Nissan the following year. No confirmation on those yet.

Why would you want to go with a Roush car. I am not going following the car, I am following the driver.

Ah but the driver is only 1/3 of the equation.

Yes, but it is only the driver that I care about.

Where are you guys? It's race day! Marlin spinning out. Johnson with tire troubles. People getting knocked around.
They need to redo this track!

The track was just fine. That is what makes Brilstol so awsome to watch. No straight cars after the race and flairing tempers.

There was a little madness at the end of the race this weekend after they lifted caution.
If Kyla still posted here, I would tell her congrats on the T.S. victory. Hahaha.

WOW! Kasey Kahne from the pole takes the win. He is proving there is nothing wrong with the aero package on the Chargers. Johnson finished 11th barely holding of his points lead by 15 points over Mat Kensith. Robby Gordons bad luck in the pits strikes again whern the yellow flag came out while he was in the pits with 21 to go. He was running 7th. This has been a 3 race run for him haveing pit related problems in the closing laps. Only other thing to mention is that Kurt Busch is makeing more enimies on the track after wreking Greg Biffle.

Watching some p[ost race footage looks like Kyle Busch also got into Clint Bower on the final lap causing Bower to spin. These Busch brothers are becoming to overly agresive. NASCAR officials need to crack down on them.
This wraps up my mini writeup for the spring race in Texas. Next time we return here will be durring the Chase.

Whoa! That was quite a turnover there by Tony Stewart during the B. series Saturday. Glad he walked away.

Caught the replay. Just a solid testament as to how safe these cars are. Almost 200 MPH and on its lid. Tony walked away to race tomorrow.
Side note Martin Truex Jr. winning the race with the Dale Earnhardt paint scheme. Good memorial for the man in blacks birthday.
Trucks racing at StL tonight on speed and Cup racing at Talladega tomorrow on Fox.

Funfilled Monday at Taladega. After rain on Sunday the Aarons 499 was rescheduled to Monday. 11 cars wrcked in an early pileup leading to be the only BIG ONE. There where 56 lead changes that ultimatly ended with Jimmie Johnson winning for the third time this season.
