Did anyone else see Lost on ABC last Wednesday? I saw the previews and thought it looked like an overhyped cheap modernized Gilligan's Island knock-off, but my mom thought it looked interesting so I watched it with her. It was actually not bad at all, I was rather impressed given my earlier ideas about it. Any other opinions?

I didn't get a chance to see it, but I was wondering about something; in the previews, one of the actors looks like the guy who played one of the hobbits, either Merry or Pip, in the LOTR trilogy. Is that him in this show?

Yes it is the guy from LOTR. (I know this because I teach a Sunday Bible Stuty to a group of 10th grade girls who are absolutely the biggest LOTR fangirls I've ever seen.) I was told his name, but I forgot.

Yep, Dominic Monaghan, who played Meriadoc Brandybuck (Merry). ;D ![](http://img44.photobucket.com/albums/v136/TTC_Forum/poke.gif) But I'm not a fangirl!

Yep, Dominic Monaghan, who played Meriadoc Brandybuck (Merry). ;D You mean he comes in a size larger than a pint? ![](http://img8.photobucket.com/albums/v28/gunman_sr5/4_2_201.gif)

So what do you think the creature will be, and how long before we see it? My guess is a show like this can't go on for more then a season so it will appear on the last show. I would bet it is some sort of Dino. Although I would prefer a giant werewolf.

This is an awesome show....I think a dino would be predictable, but it really is the only thing that could have snagged the pilot out of the plane wreckage , but I don't think it would have left much of anything like what they found in the tree.
The Polar Bear was a total surprise, so I can't wait for that explanation...the show overall is pretty good....but I think they are going to be more than a 1000 miles off course.....all said and done...

Yeah...I love how they give you a little back ground on the key players. A very good way to keep your interest. I don't know if you guys watch Desperate Housewives, but it is another fantastic show....Kind of like Twin Peaks meets a married "Sex and the City".....
I don't miss it!

Lost is a cool show. I told myself that I would not watch it because i did not want to get hooked on another show. But I did not listen to myself, and now I am hooked.

Tonights episode was pretty good. I heard this week that LOST was picked up for the full season. This leads me to believe that we will see the monster half way through the season.
My reasoning is that if it started as only a half season you would think they would show the thing before LOST went off the air.

I don't know...they could have done things hoping to be picked up, therefore leaving us with an empty void....but we don't ahve to worry about that now, since they picked it up for a full season! That is just way too cool!
Another show that is now in the same time slot, but is not as good as LOST, but still a great drama is "LAX". Anything with Heather Locklear in it, should be awesome!
So far it has been a very good drama!

Yesterdays Episode was great once again. The end twist with Sawyer took me by surprise. I will have to admitt I was a little unsettled by the actions that Siede took against him.
On a side note I found out why Locke is such a great character. Paul Dini of Batman the Animated Series fame is the cheif writer for his character.

This is a really great show. I am addicted. Does anyone know how long this show it to run? I just wanted to know if this is ongoing or has a time limit.

I have never gone as out of my way to watch a show like I have with LOST. The writing is absolutely superb. There have several episodes where I have gotten the chills with the end twist.
Last nights where not only the psycic tricked the pregnent girl into getting on the plane so she would have no choice but to raise her child was brilliant. Then they hit you with the whole manafest thing. Man that was great.

Wednesday's episode was VERY good..it looks like now they're starting to tie everyone's stories together a little more. I'm just tickled too that for once my wild theories about a show/movie/book are actually turning out to be true. ![](http://img8.photobucket.com/albums/v28/gunman_sr5/7_5_131.gif) Usually they're absurdly complicated and the end solution is something far more likely and simple. I shall see next week how close I am to what really happens... ![](http://img44.photobucket.com/albums/v136/TTC_Forum/popcorn.gif)
