I picked this one up when it came out, finally got around to watching it last night.
Since it's a documentary, if you aren't interested in the subject you might get bored. However, I think the best indication of how this movie impacted me is the fact that I could feel my stomach turn as I watched it..I don't wanna spoil it for anyone, but there are two scenes that made me wanna vomit.
There are also some great facts about fast food, p.e. in schools, and, especially, Morgan Spurlock's plummeting health numbers as the month goes on (his goal is to eat McDonald's food for every meal for a month). Even his doctors can't believe how quickly his health is deteriorating.
I know some have said that it's pretty obvious that eating only fast food for a month isn't a good idea, but I think this movie shows two things concerning that: One, his doctors (he had 3) couldn't believe how bad his health had become (one of them was really starting to freak out towards the end), and also, too many people in this country eat fast food too much..probably not for every meal, but at least a couple times a week, which is still far too much, according to 100 nutrionists polled in this movie.
My favorite bonus feature was Spurlock's interview w/ Eric Schlosser, who wrote Fast Food Nation (great book, btw) and again gave a lot of facts and disturbing statistics about fast food and where the meat you eat comes from.
McDonald's denies that this movie is the reason they removed the supersize from their menu.![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)
