I just saw the TV spot for Bewitched. Looks kinda cool. Nichole Kidman though. Then again. I can't think of anyone else to play Samantha.

Well, the original was a comedy - so I suppose that anything goes.
I am not quite sure that anyone can capture the charm that Elizabeth Montgomery had in the original series. Might see this one.

So whats with the remakes? Hollywood can't come up with anything original, so they go back to what the current viewing audiences will either vaguely remember or think of with nostalgia and mentally gloss over any inconsistencies.

They go back to history looking for success - and they are doing the same thing with cartoons.

Hum Will Farel is in it. Plot seems to be he wants to remake Bewitched but found a real witch to play Samantha. Just try to catch the TV spot to understand.

I can't see how they could remake "The Honeymooners" and be faithful - Ralph Kramden is one of the poster children for TV spousal abuse (worse than Archie Bunker).
And switching from Jackie Gleason to Cedric the Entertainer ..... oy .....

Ver true; I remember there was a honeymooners tv remake staring brad garret from Raymond; I didn't catch it, but at leat he looks the part. Not a big fan of cedric; I never really found him very funny.
