So am I the only one who has seen this swashbuckling adventure on the high seas. The movie has rocked at the box office (great for me since I have Disney Stock ;D ) It broke Star Wars Ep3 single day record by 5 million. It took out Spiderman's 3 day record by 18 million. Not only broke those records, but it was the first movie in history to make over 100 million in 2 days. Not to shabby for some scurvy sea rats.
On to the film. For as much as it crushed the records I found the first one more enjoyable. the first half of the movie was all over the place, however the second half made up for it. You might consider this the Empire Strikes Back of the Pirates series. It is a definite lead in to number 3 which is currently finishing filming for a Memorial Day 07 release.

i would venture to say that you need to see the first one to understand the second one.

Oh, I agree.
I've seen the first one and enjoyed it thoroughly. He hasn't seen it yet but he wants to.

It set another record on Monday. It earned 18.4 million on a non-holiday Monday. The previous record was Star Wars Ep III at 14.4 Million.

If you've listened to ck's last radio show, you know my opinion of the first one (I didn't like it much). I didn't really like this one much either; like bear said it was a bit all over the place at times, and I found much of it pretty boring. There were some funny parts but overall I was dissappointed.
