So have you guys heard about this movie? It actually looks fairly decent. This is supposed to be more of a thriller and not a campy movie....I am hoping they stay away from the campiness of "Eight Legged Freaks". Anyway, here is the trailer....looks to be fun and interesting...and with Samuel L in it, action packed..... www.tagworld.com/snakesonaplane

Yea, other boards have been making fun of it for months; such a goofy title. Could be decent though; sammy's the man.

The CGI for the snakes was very "Anacondas" but on a smaller scale...

Anyone going to see this tonight? W/ all the goofy net fanfare I think it's gonna be hard-pressed to live up to the hype..

I don't know. Many of the reviewers are giving it 4 stars out of 5, just for the sheer campiness. People are saying the media hype is very similar to the Rocky Horro Picture show...so I am looking forward to seeing it. I am going to see it on Sunday.
Considering there was no pre-screen, if it makes over 30 mil for teh weekend, I will be shocked, but I really am pulling for it!

I just got back from seeing this this morning...I have to say, I really loved it. It wasn't nearly as campy as I thought it was going to be. It was funny when it meant to be, scary in many parts, and suspenseful in others. Entertainment value was great. There were 3 of us who went to see it and all 3 of us loved it! The theatre was packed even for a 10:10am showing and the demographic, was odd....there were people in their 60's-70's, all the way to kids in the theatre...
Let me just say, in no way is this a movie any child should see. The sex content for the one scene it has alone, should make any parent uncomfortable. I couldn't believe that parents brought their kids and didn't even take them out of the theatre, at least at that part. The deaths are quite gruesome, but it is really just a fun movie to go see, keeping in mind what kind of movie it is.

Just saw it tonight, and it was ok; it had some funny parts, but I think, for the most part, that it wasn't my type of movie. I don't like gore very much (yes I realize it'd be there), and it ran a bit slow too often. Overall, though, if you like this type of goofy/funny/scary movie, you'll probably enjoy it. Also, it probably would've been more exciting in a packed crowd; in the theatre I was in there were only around 20 of us (sammy saying "the line" got a nice reaction though ).

I am glad I haven't seen it yet. I am not much for gore. I was hoping it would be like Arachniphobia. Kind of more of a freak out movie.
