I just saw it last night and..it was pretty good, not the huge-awesome-amazing movie a few of my friends have been telling me it is. I can't really put my finger on it, the movie just seemed...too..simplistic? I will say it held my interest for the most part, and it didn't seem like a 3-hour movie, but I didn't think it was that great overall; I'd give it 2 1/2 out of 4 stars. Nowhere near as good as my favorite movie of the year, Walk the Line.

Remember, Destro - It's from a kids book.
You know all the background on the book, right? Why it was written and what it represents?
I have know it from a young age, so it was a big treat to get to go see it.

Harry Potter is a kids book too, but those movies held my attention and were more enjoyable than this one.

The thing you have to remember in this one Destro is they went out of their way to make this movie appeal to everyone from age 3 and up. I kind of found it refreshing that they didn't rely on over the top battles or darker type characters then the original book to draw a crowd.

I still need to see this. The preview looked good, so I hope the movie is as well.
