Well, everyone should not be surprised that SM3 broke records this weekend...not only for the biggest weekend opening, but for the greatest single day take. The weekend take is estimated at $148.00 million for the 3 days and the single day take (Friday) was $59.3 million dollars.
Needless to say, this is a huge benchmark to be set for the remaining summer releases.

I had read that as well (before commenting in the other thread)
The bar continues to be raised (as well as movie ticket prices...). I haven't seen any of the other movies yet (obviously) - but they are all going to have to be pretty darn good in order to match the quality of Spiderman 3 in my opinion.

I am not going to say I didn't think Spidey 3 was any good, however, it did seem to missing something for me. I can't place my finger on it just yet, but will comment more on it later.

![](http://img44.photobucket.com/albums/v136/TTC_Forum/op.gif) I'm glad I don't listen the critics. Because for the most part I think they are full of crap. I like to make up my mind on my own. So I don't know or care what they say about this movie. I mean I'm about the only one out there who likes The Phantom Menace, and Jar Jar Binks for that matter, ha ha. ;D Spoilers!!! First of all I don't know all the Spidey history and comics. So I don't know if the whole movie was true to the history of him 100% or not. There was things in the movie that surprised me and I did not know how they worked. Like Harry dieing in the end. I just thought the constant them if they did more movies would be Harry trying to avenge his father's death. Harry and Peter being a tag team vs. Sandman and Venom was a suprise for me. Which was cool. Also I need to go back and see Spidey 1 because I did not know it was that Sandman dude that shot Peter's Uncle. I was very entertained and enjoyed it very much. I liked it as much as Spidey 1 & 2. There was some of it that was a bit far out. But as a whole I really liked it. I also liked the nod to Stan Lee, with him being in the film. I was like WOW that's Stan Lee and my wife did not know who that was. As much as I've liked the three Spidey movies. I would hope that they don't go overboard with them and make a stinky Spidey movie with a bad story. Just to make a ton of cash on. So if they ended now I would be fine with it. Because they have made a solid franchise out of it and I hope they would not screw it up. But give anything long enough and Hollywood will ruin it. Thus the TF Movie comming(I had to get a jab in there). But there is still a bit of that symbiot(sp?) stuff in the scientist's lab, and the Sandman is floating around out there some where. Also that leads me to my biggest question. How do you kill the Sandman after all? Spidey flushed him down the sewer, but he came back as mud, dried out and the he is all fine again. Then Harry hit him with one of the missiles from his hover board. Sandman blew up, but then came back togheater. So I don't know how you get rid of him? ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png) Funniest line in the movie was after Spidey stopped Sandman from robbing the armored truck he said "Where do these guys keep comming from?" Cracked me up. ;D Over all as a si-fi/superhero fanboy I give it 4.5 stars on a five star ranking system.

Me too. I figure that is the natural progression at this point. I would also like to see either Rhino or Scorpion in the next one...IT would have been really awesome to do a Sinister Six movie!
