For some reason I could not get the link to work or copy and paste the story, but it looks like Bob Igre is taking a bold step in bringing back the classic animation department. A few years ago Eisner let go over 300 animators to be replaced by computers.
My theory is have a good story and people will come.

Awesome. It wasn't but a few months ago that I scratched my head about 2D animation from Disney. The last theatrical release...was uhh....ummm....hmmmm.
Not complaining about the joint work with Pixar in the past, but I usually prefer the 2D over the 3D.

That would be Home on the Range. Never saw it and never cared to. I hope we see the return of the late 80's/early 90's where we had The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King, and Tarzan (Late 90's on that one. I even enjoyed Atlantis and Treasure Planet.
