I recently picked up the new Rocky as well; it's a pretty good movie, imo. I got it in a two-pack w/ Ali. I've also picked up the pursuit of happyness and the special edition of the departed.

Dungeons and Dragons the Complete Animated Series. This purchase has fueled a metal mini figure painting phase.

I haven't seen Rocky Balboa yet - I want to. I have never seen Rocky V either....but...it's Rocky V. Haha. I guess I should force myself to watch that and then try to pick up Rocky Balboa and finally see it. Heard it was great.
DVD-wise over the past couple of months - I have picked up Justice League Unlimited: Season 2, Filmation Ghostbusters, Scooby Doo Where are You? (Season 1 & 2), and the Cosby Show Season 1.

TMNT season 4, Filmation Ghostbusters volume 1, Captain N: The Game Master, Justice League Unlimited Season 2, and Dungeons & Dragons. Oh, and I also bought MASK set 2 from Australia, but it's on backorder for the moment. When will the powers-that-be ever release Spider-man and His Amazing Friends? That show was fantastic!

Did Spider-man and His Amazing Friends air in the early 80s on Saturday mornings ...and in the intro of the show...did it have the Incredible Hulk pushing on a wall that was closing in on him?

You have me jealous about the MASK. They have a couple episodes on Youtube, but thats about it.

That scene you described was from the Hulk cartoon from around '82. It might've been on back to back with Spidey and Friend, but I can't remember anymore. Spider-man and his Amazing Friends was definitely a Saturday morning show and started in '81. I have a bootleg copy of the series, but I'd love to have the real deal. My set even includes a neat behind the scenes documentary about the show, which includes interviews with Dan Gilvezan and Frank Welker (who played Spidey and Ice Man on the show respectively).

Hahaha. Man - that's so awesome.
I seem to recall that opening scene that I mentioned having tons of different characters. Maybe I should do some early 80s TV guide research....

The showed featured cameos by Tony Stark (and briefly Iron Man), Matt Murdock (and briefly Daredevil), several members of the X-Men, Captain America, and others. The show also featured some background music that was reused for the Transformers show, such as the generic dance music. Here's a really good webpage about the show... www.spider-friends.com/

I already posted something about this in the hauls thread, but I picked up Elizabeth on dvd the other day; it's a really good movie about the early days of Elizabeth I's reign, and Cate Blanchett is great in it. The sequel, which chronicles her struggles w/ the war w/ Spain, will be in theaters Oct. 12. The film also stars Geoffrey Rush (returning from the first film) and Clive Owen (as Sir Walter Raleigh). If you're interested in English history, you should check both of them out. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I liked the first one when I saw it several years ago and am looking forward to this one. (And the awesome period clothing is just a bonus.)

Yea, I think the fashions of different eras, especially european, are quite interesting; can you imagine wearing some of that though? Some of it doesn't look too comfortable, but some looks kinda cool. 'Course now women run around in trousers..scandolous! ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Picked up Spidey 3 today. I haven't seen it yet, and most of my friends tell me it's the weakest of the three, so I don't really have my hopes up too much for this one..
