This is the official thread for my construction of this kit. I'll try to stay up on building this one and keep giving pictures & updates so everyone (who cares...haha) knows how things are going. First off, the right arm skeleton is almost complete. I have not attached the hand and fingers yet, but you can see the big, round shoulder joint and the backhand "nub" in the shot below. This arm is made up of 38 pieces alone. It seems like a lot - but remember this is a 670 piece kit. I am still in the air about what to do regarding painting this arm. This is a raw format. ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v136/TTC_Forum/grightarm1.jpg) One major appeal of this kit is the articulation. The skeleton is built using many snap pieces and screws in order to form joints. I took that arm above and bent it at the elbow to make it look more natural. That is - as natural as the skeleton of a Gundam can be. ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v136/TTC_Forum/grightarm2.jpg)

I made an executive decision to complete the model first...and then detail it (if I feel like it). If I don't get this thing together & spend too much time with the little things - painting, panel lining, etc....I will probably lose interest. The model is assembled with snapping and screws. I can take the entire thing apart to do painting/sanding/detailing later on if I decide I want to. With that in mind, here is the completed right arm. ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v136/TTC_Forum/rarmcomplete.jpg)

Heh. Not quite sure if people are keeping up with this thread or reading it at all....but! Here is one of the legs without the plate armor. I am really amazed at the amount of pieces and detail that the leg has. I thought the skeleton for the arm was impressive, but putting the leg together increased my appreciation for this model kit even more. ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v136/TTC_Forum/legskel.jpg)

I am keeping track. I have been contemplating picking up a perfect grade kit myself. So I am following to try to make my decision. So far I am very impresed.

This phase caused me the most frustration of the kit so far (and I haven't really been frustrated at all with this one) - I ended up leaving the wiring job out. They didn't do too great of a design job for the wiring. I don't mind cutting the wires to thread them - that is fine. The problem is that the screws do not sit properly in their holds in order to connect the wire and the light. I don't think batteries were included anyway, so I just shrugged and left the steps off. In any case - here is the torso so far. The arm pivots have been slapped on. They line up properly, but I didn't move them around to the proper "resting spot" for the picture. You can see an all-white pilot (Heero Yuy) - he would truely be the most challenging paint job I have ever undertaken if I decide to paint him. Anyway - here's the pic ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v136/TTC_Forum/gtorso1.jpg)

![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I may have one more picture after this one, and then I am waiting until the model is complete to post any more. There is plenty of flair that I haven't put on here yet - and that is intentional as I want all of the finishing touches to come at once before I take a picture and post the final version here. ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v136/TTC_Forum/ghead.jpg)

Here is the battle-damaged Terminator look. Most of the armor has not been applied. You look at that and say "That's a lot of pieces." But then you see what is left in the box and it is like "ahhhhhhhhhHH!" This is the last picture before the kit is complete..... ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) I have to build suspense and at least have enough changes left to create a huge "wow!" when it is finished. Heh heh. ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v136/TTC_Forum/gundamfullproto.jpg)

Whew! Weapons are not complete, but here is the basic idea. Maybe I'll do some better pics later on. ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v136/TTC_Forum/gundamcomplete.jpg)
