Bear - Were you a comic guy or does your love come only from the movie?

The movie. I have always been a sucker for Disney live action adventures. Johny Tremain and Davy Crockett were great and Swiss Family Robinson is still one of my favorite movies of all times (although Johann David Wyss would roll over in his grave if he saw how inaccurate it was.) Zorro still remains one of my favorite TV shows of all times. Disney movie club has put it out in volumes as club exclusives The thing about the Rocketeer is that it stayed true to classic Disney formula. As a hero he is not over the top. They didn't depend on a dark ambiance or crude humor at a time when action movies were really starting to turn that way. It was just a classic story of an unlikely hero saving the country and getting the girl. I always wanted to read the comics, but have never gotten around to it.

Gosh - you know...I don't think I have seen The Rocketeer since it was originally released in the theaters.
