Princess from Battle of the Planets
or
Jun from Gatchaman
(Theme song to Battle of the Planets was used for the intro to Energon Station radio #12)
While it has seen many different incarnations (Gatchaman in Japan. Battle of the Planets, "G-Force", Gatchaman...again in America), regardless of which show you might be familiar with - this figure represents the female lead in the animated series, and it is a work of art.
There have been several Best of Cool Girl figures made by Takara. This is number 5 & has been available for a little while. They used to make generic females, but within the past few years started obtaining licenses to make characters from animated shows. This is meant to be a realistic rather than animated representation of Jun from the series.
I believe the "points of articulation" on this figure is somewhere between 22 and 30. The range of motion and articulation across the figure are incredible. The sculpt and clothing are very very female. I would have to say that the hardest thing to do is make a well-articulated, well sculpted female action figure & keep her looking like a woman rather than an articulated fembot. (See: any female character from Marvel Legends)
I always push for sculpt over articulation - but in a perfect world, you have both & it looks REALLY good. Enter the Best of Cool Girl line from Takara. Bingo. I think Sideshow is taking notes.
She came with two extra pairs of hands, a stand (but you don't need it), a balaclava and the official "helmet" they wore in the series, but I didn't take the time to slowly put it on her.
(from the episode "Attack of the giant Mountain Dew can"):

....had to do it. Takara meets Takara.
