Does the lack of new news cause a lack of intrest in toy lines, or does it raise more intrest? The reason I ask is because we are curently in a toy news drout. The only thing realy going on of intrest is Star Wars. Then you throw in the fact that the weather has been awsome here lately with the seasonal change.

I wouldn't say that toy news is down, but rather that people aren't hitting the board a whole lot.
The interest was there last weekend when Star Wars was all over the place - I think people just have been doing other things besides hanging out on the message board.
For me - Baseball season has started up & I am going to a BBQ tonight and a hockey game tomorrow. It's just that other things are going on, I suppose.

I think when you have lull in news, you naturally have a lull in collecting...at least for the new stuff...when you have those who collect G1 or Beast Wars...I don't really think it affects that segment. Plus, like now, when you have a totally different toyline, by the same manufacturer, which overshadows any other toy release...and little to no news is out there...you end up hitting a wall in collecting. Most people eventually come out of it when the lines crank up again, but I think we always lose some collectors here and there during the lulls.
