OK...well to start off, this is my favorite season of Wonder Woman. I like all 3, but I like how this was more of comic book format....with the word bubbles and the campyness of it all.
Let's face it, Lynda Carter is flawless, even today! I love that Victor Newman from Young and the Restless is in it. Cloris Leachman as Hippolyta was my favorite. Carolyn Jones was not bad, but I think Cloris Leachman was a better fit.
It's funny to be able to watch this now, after having seen it on first run TV. I remember how much I loved the show and thought it was the coolest thing on. I don't remember a whole lot, but My aunt always made a point to watch it, so we would sit in front of the TV and watch her kick tail.
Let's talk the invisible jet....back in the day...that was just a great special effect..now we can do that with our own home video cameras...
I love the whole War theme, spies, Axis and Allies. I think it was much better that way. The editing was a bit choppy when shhe was deflecting the bullets, but back then that was quite progressive.
Back to the story...I loved the first public exhibition, so she could earn money...and the gradma bust out a machine gun in a plot to get rid of Wonder Woman...classic! I just loved that scene. So many great character actors in the pilot and throughout the series as a whole.
The transformation into Wonder Woman with the slow mo spin was quite boring ...adding the flash was such a great idea!
Has anyone found the the Original Pilot with Kathy Lee Crosby as Wonder Woman in it? I have only seen it twice and would love to get it on DVD...
The intro and music is the best. I actually have a remix of it a friend of mine made. I love the comic book beginning and ending for all of season 1!
Lstly, I think the whole Clark Kent approach to being a superhero was the big thing back then...throw on a pir of glasses and put your hair in a bun and no one will know that Yeoman Prince is really Wonder Woman....Cracks me up, but I love it!
