Who all saw this besides me. I don't want to start when I may be the only one so far.

Ahh. Haha. They knew that people like me were watching, so they decided to give a "teaser" episode to keep the (I guess you would call it...) "die hard fan of the original seven" interested. It felt more like the Justice League of old & I think that will keep me interested in the JLU story as more characters come to life. Are they planning on continuing to build the opening credits with animation from the stories? It was kinda odd seeing quite a bit of animation from the story we were right about to watch (semi-spoiler as it were). I really loved this episode. It was another big touch on character & you could see how the JL has grown since it was originally founded. Did you notice how Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman called each other by their "real life" names throughout the entire show? We have always seen them help each other out when in peril - but you could see the genuine shock/concern/heavy emotions come forth with each event in this ep. (most involving the "plant of doom") So Wonder Woman now has her invisible jet? Sweet. (Although I was perfectly fine without it) Also - we did get introduced (so to speak) to some other characters from the Superman (alternate) universe. Krypto the dog (as the story goes via the superboy stories) - I believe that he was launched into space as a final trial run before Jor-El would launch Kal-El to save him from Krypton's destruction. It was meant to orbit Krypton before coming back down, however the rocket was knocked off course by a meteor and eventually landed on earth. Krypto (deemed "Dog of Steel") is Superboy's companion throughout their adventures in Smallville. And yes....Krypto has a Doghouse of Solitude. D.C. annihilated the alternate realities when they decided to go for continuity (for how long, though?) in the 1980s. I used to have a statue of Superboy with Krypto which looked like this: ![](http://home.comcast.net/~cinorjer/sboya.jpg) In any case - there are a few other characters in Superman's alternate reality that we could probably discuss as well. This is all I will write for now, though.

Very good character ep - I loved Superman just wanting to be a farmer. Definitely the influence of Ma and Pa Kent. Batman's true desire was pretty obvious, but the fact that he was willing to give it up was well played (even though he has been through that kind of illusion before). Wish we could have seen a bit of Wonder Woman's desire.
Krypto and the Invisible Jet were nice touches. Good nods back to the 70s classic elements.
Mongol has never really struck me as that great of a villain in this animated continuity. Just a glorified bully from another planet - kinda like Lobo, but Lobo has a more entertaining personality. At least this time he was just a messenger for the character aspect of the plot.
