Wacky opening. Hope you like it. I stuck a few sound clips here and there. I had no idea it was going to go over an hour. I apologize if I sound like I rant too much at times. 65:31 minutes 22.4 MB Serve it on a Silver Screen (right-click to save)

Random thoughts: Wow, didn't think of gargoyles; that'd be great! Captain N? Eh..I'd rather have a metroid movie and a castlevania movie (and make simon something other than a self-centered wuss, please)! Was samus ever in the captain n show? I don't remember ever seeing her. I will say my favorite "n" moment was mother brain trying to boss Ganon around and he totally pwns her w/ some kind of wind spell; that was pretty cool. Honestly one of my biggest pet peeves about the show was that N was better than all the actual video game heroes; I know that was kinda the point, but it annoyed me as a kid. Zelda done a la LOTR from the standpoint of visuals/cgi might work.. Dino Riders! I loved that show! ;D Could it be done? I think so, but I won't hold my breath waiting for a studio to pick it up. Reality TV is demon spawned. ![>:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/angry.png)

OK, ..............................................AWESOME SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love your end point about the 80's vs new crap. Cartoons were so creative back then. As a kid after watching 80's shows I instantly went out and played that I was a Transformer, or GI Joe, or a Gobot, and any other show that may be on. Now just throw some fart jokes at a kid and call it good. Off my ![](http://img44.photobucket.com/albums/v136/TTC_Forum/soap.gif) . This would be such a great show for movie execs to listen to. There were some great ideas both for titles and how they should be done. Here is the major problem I could see happening. A studio will put out something good, lets say Thundercats for example. It would do well at the box office. Now every studio would push out crap as fast as they could to try and capitolize on the success of Thundercats. Lets remember a lot of this stuff to be done right needs a budget of around 100 million. Now to give my critique on some of the shows given. Dinoriders would be great. I think 13 episodes would be an advantage to alot of these shows. That way you don't have hordes of loyal fans questioning every move the director makes. What kid wouldn't want to see Jurasic Park with a SciFi twist. Care Bears....no. Gummi Bears......YES!!! not just because I am a Disney fan either. Gummi Bears would be a family hit. Parents wouldn't want to see a bunch of cute bears helping Timmy find a friend or sally her way home (4 years and under may love it). What parents and kids both want to see are cute bears bouncing around like mad from Gummi Berry juice and beating the snot out of Orgers and Duke Ickthorn. And please if your listening Disney, Do not set it in modern day. Now here is 1 way to transition from the inocence of Saturday Morning cartoon to live action film youtube.com/watch?v=SDsIToyQueo This is a great live action fan made film for Dungeons and Dragons. Basically in the show no one was ever killed because it was taboo for Saturday cartoons. The protagonists were teenagers and kids. In this short film they move to adult. Their origin could be done in a 5 minute intro. In the cartoon they never ended the series by them making it home so this one screams for a countinuation instead of an origin.

Great show, Chris! I really wish you could do a "live" show some day, where we can call in and discuss recent news and trends in the genre. True "Energon Station Radio". Silverhawks was a great show, but if they ever made it in live-action, it would no-doubt be so different that it'd be unrecognizeable it. It's waaaay too much of a niche thing to be made faithful to the original. Unfortunately MASK would probably get the same treatment, along with Captain N. I think only 80's cartoons that were very prominent at the time (and have retained a sizeable fanbase) have any chance of getting a decent movie in the flavor of the original. GI Joe, Voltron, He-man, and maybe Jem. And I'm not really into it, but I think Gargoyles could get a really good live-action movie too. You'd think that a game like Metroid could be turned into a decent movie, but upon further thought... I dunno. I mean, there aren't really many *characters* in the game. I guess there could be a zillion peripheral characters in the beginning, but by the time Samus gets planet Zebes, she's basically on her own (besides the hordes of alien creatures trying to kill her). I think Zelda has potential though. They need to get Patrick Stewart to play the old bald merchant that constantly gives Link a hard time!

Glad you all liked it! I thought I rambled a bit. I tried to go through a lot of stuff & my eyes got big when I cleared the hour mark.
I really loved the variety of shows that were suggested. Great contributions from everyone that e-mailed.
Destro - the whole time, my subconscious was saying "don't soap box reality TV too much...don't do it...nobody likes a whiner." Haha!
Bear - I will have to check out your video here shortly. I am glad you still enjoyed the show despite the fact I didn't have intricate knowledge of all the shows you suggested.
Tony - Dude I wish people could have called in. If I could give up my day job, I would try to have a live radio show based on ...nostalgia. Haha! I would even try to like...learn how to formulate sentences without falling all over my words. I'm not a radio head, but I have a lot of fun with this stuff.
Interesting you mention a Metroid movie. I have given this thought on more than one occasion. Talk about having to scrap for dialog. Only the latest incarnation - Metroid Prime 3 actually has dialog & even then...Samus doesn't really say anything. Metroid has that ...eerie, kill or be killed, "I am all alone" feeling to it - well I guess I said that in the show...but how would you translate that onto the big screen?
If it were Japanese, they would probably do an entire movie that is only Samus & she does log entries. That would be pretty unique & probably wouldn't fly on big screen in the U.S. Talk about a roll of the dice. While I haven't really seen the movie (...sorry), perhaps I am thinking something along the lines of Castaway? Ahh I don't know. I could do an entire show on Metroid - the games and the possibility of a movie. I know Jeremy would jump on board for that.
OH...and I would totally pay to see Patrick Stewart drop "Master using it and you can have this!" Haha! Oh man...beautiful! Patrick Stewart as the old man!
Honestly, it would be a dream of mine to have creative direction for: a Metroid movie, a Zelda movie, or a Robotech TV series (live action). Tons of fun.

Wow that was a long one. I had to youtube Captain N after listening to this one. Wow was it badicus. I watched 4 min of gameboy part 1 and couldn't take it any more... I am sure there is a way to make a Metroid movie, but thats for a different discusion. Funny how you mentioned Frakes as well. He is rummored to play grandpa in the Castlevania movie. That idea foe Jem to. Batle of the 80's chick bands. I could go for that.
