-Yeesh... I thought this Angry Archer guy was supposed to be a major villain in the series judging by the Animated panel at BotCon '07, but he was caught within the first few minutes of the show! I didn't really care for him though, so no big loss. I kinda liked him, esp. w/ the shakespeare-esque language. Maybe he'll be something of a "joke villian"; one that's easily defeated every time he shows up.. I noticed that too; I supposed he had his hands sideways and then..turned them? If that makes any sense.. Yea, that's something to worry about. One thing I did like about it, though, is that in this ep it helped megatron; she opened the door, megs came online, and at the autobot base, when she used it again megatron started using the machines..did her key let him do that? Interesting how both Sari and her father are both inadvertently helping megatron; hopefully the writers will build on that. I thought that was fun, esp. w/ prowl at the end, finally loosening up a bit. I agree; while there are some definite low points so far, overall I've been pretty pleased, and now I'm more excited for the toys; hopefully I'll still be excited about them when they finally come out. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)

I'm not for the Autobots becoming the new JLA of cartoon Network
Human bad guys should be more like Shawn Berger ,Conduit or Dr Archeville
It was an ok episode I liked the idea of Megatron finally being woke up after 50 years
But my question is where are all the other Decepticons?

I would assume the other decepticons are out in space somewhere (they wouldn't know the whereaboutts of megatron or starscream, I would suppose); as soon as megs is up and running (figuratively and literally), I'm sure he'll attempt to contact them.
I've never understood the love for Dr. Archeville; he seems like another generic evil scientist character. I mean, he served his purpose, but he really wasn't anything more than a plot device for a few eps. Hopefully Archer here will get more development than that.

Episode 4 was OK. I liked Prowl in this episode. I just hope that the next episode is a bit better.

Kaye has my full approval as Grimlock! I was hopeing for more in this episode, but I have a feeling it will lead into something much better.

It was great
Too bad we had to wait about 20 years to see the Dinos again and to hear that all familiar "ME Grimlock"
Kudos to the David Kay he sounded like Gregg Berger
It also reminde me of a few G1 episodes namely War of the Dinobots where the Dinobots followed Megatron for a short time there.
In a way it felt like G1 was back

Egh... it was okay. The Dinobots were cool-looking and David Kaye was good as Grimlock, but the episode just moved along waaaay too slow, imo. Compare this to the G1 episode SOS Dinobots. That one had the Dinobots built and causing damage within the first 8 minutes of the show, had a Decepticon skirmish in the middle, and a satisfying ending battle (where the Dinobots come to the rescue) to cap it off. One might argue that the slower pace of the TF Animated episodes makes the show more sophisticated, but it just doesn't come off that way to me. Hopefully next week will be better.

I think I might like last week's ep better, and why was an ep skipped? The dinobots were awesome though, and I like that grimlock has a sword. I wish the other dinobots would've said something, though (they weren't even named). ..and again w/ the key; it can create sparks now, too? Well, at least that's some explanation as to why they have sparks, unlike the g1 dinobots; their creation w/o vector sigma always kinda bugged me (is sari's key the key to vector sigma?). Oh.. and the "good thinking, bulkhead" lines were awesome. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

I agree, I think last weeks episode was more enjoyable, even if it wasn't as epic. I'm more into fun dialogue and action, compared to slow story-telling. My only exception to that rule for me are shows like Dragonball Z and Robotech, but they do the "soap opera" style with a lot more flair, imo.
I hear Comcast has episodes of TFs Animated on their "On Demand" service, so I wonder if they'll have the skipped episode on there soon. I'll keep checking.

Another good episode, w/ some nice character development for ratchet (glad we got some backstory about his time in the great war, why he doesn't want to talk about it, his injury, etc. Definitely darker than previous eps), and the first appearance from lockdown was nicely done as well (I thought he looked like a goth, robotic destro ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) ). It's good to have some eps w/ little to no human involvement. Blitzwing is..well, interesting; I'm not sure if I like him or not. Yay, Arcee! ;D So it got a bit darker w/ the great war flashbacks, two great new characters, and some actual character development; things are looking up! So far this series has been better than I'd expected; hopefully they will keep up the good work.

Definitely a strong episode, I enjoyed it alot. Glad to see an episodic-style story that resolved itself in the end (more or less), unlike the last couple eps that just meandered around with no real act structure. Lots of great humor in this one too, like Bumblebee showing off the stuff he bought at the auto parts store. And best of all.... Susan Blu as Arcee!! It was awesome, she sounded straight out of the 80's! I really hope they make a toy of her, even if she doesn't come back.
But does anyone else feel like Prime isn't getting much character development yet? I've yet to get a real feel for his personality compared to the rest of the Autobots. I dunno, he just seems kind of... bland. Guess it's still early on in the show, though.

I tried watching it for the first time today. I ended up shutting it off. Maybe it is just the adult in me, but I thought it was so juniorized. I'll stick with the nostalgia of G1

Well, like g1, it is a kid's cartoon. So far, other than the beast shows, this has been the most mature/darkest, esp. this last episode. It definitely has it's goofy moments (which, so far, have worked well), but I think this ep was great bc it showed that this show can tackle more mature themes. Raggletag: I noticed the same thing about prime; before this ep, I would've said the same about rachet, so hopefully we'll get a prime-centric ep soon.

"Nanosec" was a fun. Pretty simplistic, but that's okay by me. These types of episodes are good for character development. I'm just glad this one had a self-contained story, and didn't plod along with no real pacing like a couple of the past eps. I'm sure I'll never sing the high praise that some fans are doing for this series, but I'm enjoying the show so far.
Other thoughts...
I was somewhat indifferent towards Bumblebee early on (he seemed waaaay too Cartoon Network-ish), but he's really grown on me. And his protective mask is very cool, it reminds me of the G1 toy!
Good to see that the Autobots each have a special ability again, just like G1. Prime's grappling hook, Ratchet's electro-magnetism, Bumblebee's thrusters, etc..
Poor Nanosec. He went from junior to geriatric in one day. He was a punk though, so I guess he had it coming.
Destronium? At first I thought this was a reference to Destro from GI Joe, but my second thought was that it's a reference to "Destron", what they called the Decepticons in Japan. The latter making more sense.
It's my opinion that Dr Sumdac is a complete moron for not realizing that Megatron is playing him for a fool.
That is all. ;P
