So today I went into movie "Frenzy" mode...yes pun intended....and like most of you earlier in the week I had tried to purchase some stuff at Wal-mart, that they had on the shelf for sale, but low and behold got up to the register and they said they couldnt sell it to me. Get that a store that "can't" sell you something they put out on the shelf...geez!
In any event I went out theis morning and hitt a couple of Targets adn pretty much found everything I was looking for, so I bought everything non-excelusive, with the exception of the Titanium figures at Target. I then went to Wal-mart who is now flush with so much TF product they don't even ave room on the shelves for it all and picked up the Titanium figs and the 2 exclusives they had, which came to a total of about $68.00...which for toys is still a good chunk of change, but not nearly what I spent at Target.
So I check out and go to the service desk and ask for the store manager or the manager on duty. They finally get him up there and I proceed to tell him that I just purchased these figures in his store, but that he lost over $200 in sales because of an incident in his store where I tried to purchase something they had on the shelves and they wouldn't sell it t me. He said he was aware they had stock on the floor and had removed it, yet they really didn't remove the stuff until 2 days later and the Robot Heroes were almost completely sold out and still on the pegs as of Friday.
So I explained to him, that they really pissed off a lot of people by being so unorganized and putting things on the shelves they couldn't sell. Particularly because at Wal-Mart, it is never a 5 minute wait in line...it is always longer even in the express lanes. I also told him that Target had no issues selling similar items and had been selling them for over a week. All he told me is they had a date they could sell these by and they couldn't sell them before that, of course I argued with him, because I went in at midnight last night and not a TF item was in sight excpet the few Robot Heroes left. Now when I went back this morning they were flush with stuff, but I wasn't going to buy it there based on principal...of which I let him know.
All in all I got no where with him, but I explained I pretty much would not buy anything I could get at Target at Wal-Mart anymore, and that there were lots of people who felt the same way...whether that is true or not...I really don't care...I was getting frustrated, because I could tell he didn't care about selling a few toys.
Anyway, I just had to make my point known and I did and I feel better whether it did anything or not.
I am still happy I got everythign I wanted today, so I can now shut up and move on!
