Not too bad. At least the visor is there.

Oddly reminds me of the character from Halo.

Well here we go with the bitter old G1 fan's thoughts again. OK I will say that out of all the bot designs they have realeased so far this is the best looking one that seems to be the closest to it's G1 version. The key word is *closest*. The chest piece of the car grill and lights are the first sign in a design of the bot's alt mode clearly shown. The visor says Jazz. Needs to be blue not green. Where the heck is his mouth and nose? It's the most armored design we have seen yet, and not skeletal looking. Which is a good thing. But it just defies me how that design is supposed to transform into a car. It just looks way to complicated to transform. How could they ever make a toy of it and transform right with all those small moving pieces. It is very clear that the design team of this film has the look and feel of the designs of the TFs they are going for. They all have the same feel to them. At this point with as much time they have in desigining these bots there ain't realy any chance they would change the direction they are going. Not even the very vocal voice of the fanbase can change this now. So this is the look and feel of the TFs we will be getting. It is so depressing. As I said before this is the best design they have done. But I can't help but think that this looks like a glorified Dream Wave image.

Here is my problem with these designs. From the start they have said they are going for realism so no stuff like mass shifting and such. I just don't see how they are going to get a realistic transformation out of these guys. They just look way to busy.

This one I kinda like, but let's see how the CGI version turns out.

I don't really see how some like this guy but not bumblebee; they're very similar designs other than the head sculpt. Is it that bb's face isn't as g1 as jazz here?

The difference between Jazz and Bumblebee is that you don't feel the need to go up to Jazz and tell him his tibula and fibula are showing.

Hmm. Dunno. I wonder what the real version of this design looks like.
Good point, Jo. I see Bumblebee and think of C3PO's line to R2-D2 in Episode 1, "What do you mean? Naked?"

Perfect analogy, Ck. All the Autobot designs until now have been like Ep 1 3PO, appearance-wise. Jazz is more like Ep 2-6 3PO.

Yeah, you see some of the gears and pistons (a "realistic" transformation wouldn't be able to completely hide them without some form of flexible sheathing). However, the degree of visibility is extremely low compared to Optimus and Bumblebee.
Take a look at all three, and Jazz has the most "armor" coverage of all of them so far.

Ill wait till i actually see the 'real" him, but i don't see a big distinction, alittle extra armor on the arms but not much else
