Here are a few things I felt schedule wise should be noted.
Thursday
3:00-4:00 IDW Publishing and the Transformers: More Than Meets the IDW— Next summer the big-budget Transformers movie hits the world! But this summer, you can get an advance look at IDW's plans for their TF comics leading up to the release of that movie, as well as talk about all the other TF titles in the works for 2006 and 2007! Join IDW publisher/ChrisCharger Chris Ryall, along with editor Dan Taylor, artists Don Figueroa (The Transformers: Beast Wars), E. J. Su (The Transformers: Infiltration), and other surprise Autobots and Decepticons who might stop by the panel. Room 4
4:00-5:00 Hasbro: Transformers— The Hasbro Transformers design and marketing teams take the stage to discuss their plans surrounding their Transformers Cybertron, and Transformers Classics lines and answer your questions. 12:30-1:30 Star Wars Day: Sculpting a Galaxy with Master Modelmaker Lorne Peterson— Lorne Peterson, one of the original members of Industrial Light & Magic, first went to work for George Lucas on the original Star Wars. Since then he has worked on each of the Star Wars movies, plus numerous movies for other directors, including Steven Spielberg. Peterson's new book, Sculpting a Galaxy, is scheduled for release in November. Come hear the master Modelmaker, with moderator Pablo Hidalgo. Room 2
1:30-2:30 Star Wars Day: What’s Hot at LucasArts— There are plenty of new and exciting games coming soon from LucasArts, including some great, highly anticipated Star Wars titles. Hear the news from the LucasArts team about these, and about the coming Indiana Jones game, plus glimpse some of the new technology that will help make coming games the most exciting to play yet! 4:30-5:30 Star Wars Day: Lucasfilm’s Star Wars Spectacular— It wouldn't be Comic-Con International without hearing the latest on Lucasfilm and Star Wars from Steve Sansweet, the company's head of Fan Relations. Sansweet will top off Star Wars Day with previews of what's coming next, plus special announcements that will be heard for the first time ever during this presentation. 2:00-3:00 SCI FI: Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis— Diving into its tenth season, Stargate SG-1 has made history by becoming the longest-running sci-fi drama in U.S. television history. The show follows General Hank Landry (Beau Bridges) and his team as they travel through the Stargate—an ancient portal allowing instantaneous travel to distant galaxies—to explore the uncharted regions of the universe and save the Earth from destruction. Panelists for SG-1 include Christopher Judge (Teal’c) and additional cast members, plus executive producers/writers Joe Mallozzi and Paul Mullie, and Nora O’Brien, VP original programming, SCI FI.
On Stargate Atlantis, currently in its third season, evidence of a secret base left by the originators of the Stargate is found in the most unlikely of places-on Earth. The implications of this discovery lead the team to the distant Pegasus galaxy, where they find the legendary city of Atlantis, and a primitive human civilization threatened by a sinister new enemy. Stargate Atlantis panelists include Joe Flanigan (Lt. Colonel John Sheppard), Torri Higginson (Dr. Elizabeth Weir), Rachel Luttrell (Teyla Emmagan), David Hewlett (Dr. Rodney McKay), Paul McGillion (Dr. Carson Beckett), executive producers/writers Joe Mallozzi and Paul Mullie, and Tony Optican, VP development and current programming, SCI FI.Gary Jones (Chief Master Sergeant Walter Harriman, Stargate SG-1) moderates both panels. 6:00-7:00 Trek Nation with Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry Jr.— Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry Jr. will be discussing his upcoming documentary project and show a trailer for the project. Rod will also be touching base on other Roddenberry projects. Rod’s father, Gene Roddenberry, was the creator of the original Star Trek, celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2006. Room 1B
