Guessing this may be Rattrap. Considering early news about the BOTCON set being prebeast figures of BW caracters. Notice the golden key with the Maximal logo.

Here's Primal too: This is one of my favorite cybertron molds, but I don't like the colors on this one..

hhmmm i like em both. the "rattrap" is a really good use of the mold and although at first look the primal is abit too much after i took a second look i realized how well the mold fits the character and the color, yet the color does work better in bot mode than alt

Eh, not impressed. Repainting curent molds from one series to fit into the "prehistory" of anohter series .... honestly that's about the laziest idea ever.

I like the idea of pre Beast Wars figures. Prime as a race car is just wrong though.

I like the idea of pre Beast Wars figures. Prime as a race car is just wrong though. But it's not prime, it's primal. I guess it is a bit lazy, but I don't think there's enough interest to attempt new molds (and what would they look like?). The molds do fit the characters in a way, imo (primal w/ ape-like arms, rattrap a small vehicle, kinda like his tm form..).

I would be stupid to think Hasbro would put out new molds strickly for Botcon. My only complaint was Prime as a race car

Or did pre-bw characters even transform? It seemed that according to the show it's possible they didn't, as megs seems to think that creating alt forms was a novel idea..

At the time the concept was cool, but looking back at Armada I am glad they went with a new continuity

But that is if you follow that continuality.
