Pete Sinclair and Karl Hartman had the second issue of the Transformers Collector's Club Magazine at TransformersCon this weekend hot off the presses. This issue gives us the date and location of the official 2005 convention which will be Frisco, Texas (north of Dallas) at the Embassy Suites Hotel September 22-25. Registration forms will be available May 1st. In addition, the name BotCon has been sold to Fun Publications Inc, so BotCon is officially back.

Who wants to go? I just booked 2 rooms at check in 23 Sep and out 25 Sep. I need to know who is going and how long we want to go. I won't go up for Thursday, but will probbly drive up on Friday morning. This will allow us to stay at the property in Dallas, where the conference will be held. I logged in this morning and booked two rooms. If I need more or need to change the dates to come in earlier, let me know, so I can hold this. I imagine it will be tough getting into the hotel the closer it gets.
The rate is $99.00 for a King room and $109.00 for a room with two double beds. Alll rooms come with a cooked to order breakfast and evening hors devours and has a pullout sleeper sofa.
I need to book these ASAP, as the space will probbaly disappear soon. If I find out they have a special rate for Botcon, I will try to get that, as long as they allow us to cancel. I am OK with a $99.00 rate. The hotel has a 24 hour cancellation policy......just an advantage to being a travel agent.....I can see their inventory... ;D
