It seems more companies are in this trend of makeing transforming toys. The 2 main lines I am talking about are the Marvel line and the new Power Rangers toys. Whats your opinion on these. Secondly: do you think these will hurt or help the sales of Transformers?

I think the trend shows the popularity of Transformers, with more companies trying to copy the selling point...however, no matter who they are, I will always consider them knock offs of the original....

I don't think the other lines will hurt TFs. Because it's the old copy cat syndrom. If some has something sucsessfull then others go out and try doing a spin off of the same idea. Plus the TF name itself is too huge to go under because of other lines. Like G.I. JOE aint hurting because of those other cheaper soilder lines like you see at Toys R Us. I think TFs are hurting them selves though. By the reincarnations of the line ever 1 or 2 years. Just keep expanding on and existing line. I mean G1 lasted for many years. Now I'm out of breath after that.

I dont see them hurting tf sales either. I mean, transforming is not the main objective in PR, the colored team member are. I tell you that, because I use to be a PR collector. For the new Marvel line, I dont know, I need to see how they are introducing a stryline to justify this, and it must be good for people to accept it.
