Found this at 2005 and Seibertron. Devil's Due & DC are the current publishers are speaking to. DDP would basically pick & choose stuff from DW's run to continue with and release lesser stuff as the brand reaffirms it's success. Much of it actually produced by DreamEngine, but now published by DDP. DC is the dark horse in this race, no puns intended to the Conan-publisher. They want to do Cybertron as part of their Johnny DC line of kid's comics. As far as G1 goes, they want to tie it into the movie in 2006 and not deal with the previous comics or cartoons AT ALL. They did apparently dangle one juicy carrot in front of Hasbro's nose tho: full-fledged membership in the DC Universe. Does OA have enough metal for a ring that big? For the record, Marvel wasn't interested and Hasbro never called THEM either. There's bad blood between the companies after some remarks Joe Quesada made about Hasbro & DW regarding the Transformers comics (some crude and sexual in nature) that are still fresh on their minds. Joe did the same thing to DC after JLA/Avengers and Paul Levitz broke off all relations with Marvel until Joe steps down as their Editor-in-chief. And here we all used to think Jemas was Marvel's biggest butthole.
