All in all RID wasn't as bad as most people made it sound. Yes it was cartoony, but thats how it was supose to be. It was to apeal to kids. It was also a great way to roll from Beast Wars with the Preds into Armada with the Decepticons. If you look into the line and the fact that is was prety much the begining of Universe as well. Considering most figures where repaints from other lines. Story lines where kid of lame in the begining, but as Maximus and Magnus emerged things got interesting. If you haven't seen RID yet, and are open minded. I recomend checking it out. I downloaded the entire seriese on the Iacon Hub.

I caught episodes off and on while it was still airing - probably about half all told. About the best parts (from what I saw) were the Predacon/Decepticon faction fights (especially Scourge plotting against Megatron) and the Prime/Magnus arguments. It was nice to see that just because characters were both Autobots did not mean they agreed or even got along too well .....

The only parts of rid that I really didn't like were sideburn and his whole deal with red cars, and the pred trio could be annoying at times. Also, Megs was weak and the preds/deceps were easily beaten in most fights against the autobots. On the plus side, the opening sequence/song is probably my fav from any tf show except maybe g1, and koji was, imo, the least annoying human of any tf series. Also, as jo already stated, scourge and magnus were unique characters, and magnus' feud w/ pride was interesting.

The show was a little cartonny at the begining, but that changed once they found the combaticons and Black Convoy. Then God Magnus made his entrance and the show got better. And then we learned about Brave Maximus and the show got even better.
Koji, he was an almost not-annoying-human. I know what you mean everytime I see that annoying human named Kicker. Its not that he is annoying by himself, its just his attitude to argue any order given by Optimus Prime (at least Ironhide listens to HotShot) and those dreams he has that take an entire episode annoys me. Like the one Cybertron City.

I Agree that RID was a Good Series. Alot of the complaints were that it was too kid friendly. I have many times argued that Armada and Energon is the Same way. Other complaints are that RID ruined the Continuity. I argued that didn't Armada Create a New Beggining Story for the Transformers. Didn't Energon Say that the Transformers came from minicons. All in all I just think that Rid isn't given its proper respect due to people not giving it a true chance.

I really liked RID. I enjoyed some of the humor and thought that over all the show was not bad, much better than Beast Machines.
