I certainly dig them - I really like fantasy in general.
Although I have to admit that I think I had a stronger liking when I was younger. Haven't really done anything recently to "fuel the interest" if you know what I mean.

Hi, my name is AlterEgo, and I am a fantasy addict. Just last night i was up until 2:30 am reading a fantasy novel. At least 90% of the books I buy are fantasy based. I can only go so long without getting my fix. ![](http://img8.photobucket.com/albums/v28/gunman_sr5/bouncers.gif)

Alterego if you are into fantasy books there is a series that I am reading right now called "The Sword of Truth" series by Terry Goodkind. It is a great series I'm on book 4 out of 9 so far I definately sugest you looking into that series. The first one of that series is "Wizards First Rule" Check it out and let me know what you think

I already read "Wizard's First Rule". It is very dark. My husband has already burned through all the books that are out. I'm not sure if I will go on or not. I have to be in the right mood to read stuff that has such "dark" storylines...... we'll see.
But thanks for the recommendation!

Well they do get darker as you get farther but they also mellow out alittle. Now there is another series in which I have not yet read it's called the wheel of times series and its by Robert Jordan. I would also like to know of some other books that are good that deal with fantasy. Terry Goodkind is the only one I have read and kinda afraid to venture outside of him so I would appreciate any other good authors or good books

Since I'm married to AE, I can give you a starting list:
Tolkien - required for any fantasy fan. There is a lot that was left out or changed in the movies (still love the movies anyway ....).
Robert Jordan - Wheel of Time is a good series, but kind of at a slow point for the last two books (#9 and 10). At least 2 more books are coming for the main story, just taking their sweet time coming .......
Terry Brooks - The Shanara series. The latest incarnation is the "Voyage of the Jerle Shanara" which I haven't read any of, but the original 8 novels are pretty good. The first book to read is "The Sword of Shanara".
The Dragonlance novels by Weiss & Hickman - classic D&D style (Dragonlance is a D&D world), with some very fun character twists. The most popular character is the most evil man in the world, and you still root for him .... Weiss & Hickman also have some non Dragonlance books, but so far I like these the best. Start with the "Dragonlance Chronicles" trilogy.

I like them, but don't collect any of them...I love mainly the female warriors or the damsels in distress....Dragons are very cool, but I can't collect more stuff!! I have to leave it to friends like AE and Jo'Roq to collect so I can envy their collection! ;D
