I'm fighting becoming sick, nothing serious, just the normal allergy related sore throat and sinus stuff, but I feel like crud. That much being said and knowing how much misery loves company, and all....
Worst Illness expirence that you have lived through! (I'm going to assume if you respond that you have lived through it.....)
Other than morning sickness (which I disqualified, because men don't generally get that...), I once had the summer flu. It is worse than normal flu, because 1) It is summer, you are staying at your grandparents' house, you are about 11-12 years old, all of your cousins are out playing together and you are forced to stay in the house. 2) Your fever is around 103 degrees and it is nearly that outside, so even in the air-conditioning it is hot. 3) You are in your grandmother's living room smelling everything that is being cooked in the kitchen, and your stomache is so sick that you can't have any of it! 4) You learn to hate pepto bismol.

I had pheumonia 5 times, and then in April 1985 when I was 22 months old I Had my right lung taken out. IT was due to a cyst on it. So now I Am healthy and since then about teh only thing i get is a cold or allergies .. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

A few summers ago I had mono really bad. I was in bed for about two weeks. I lost about 15 pounds, and at one point I was coughing up blood bc of swollen glands in my throat; I stayed at the hospital that night. The night I got it was the night before a final, but I was so tired I couldn't study. I slept for about 14 hours, drove to class, fought off sleep through the final, drove home and crashed. It really made for a crappy summer. When I finally went back to work, coworkers said I looked like I just competed on survivor bc I was so skinny.

First off, I hope you feel better soon! I hate those allergy colds myself....
Worst sickness....
About 3 years ago, I had my appendix taken out. Teh problem was that in stead of rupturing or perferated exposing me to the toxins from about Friday night until Monday monring...Sunday I didn't remember at all, Monday I went straight to the Dr....mind you I had no real pain that I remember, because I was in and out of conciousness on Sunday all day and evening..but didn't realize there were big gaps in time, passing because I was alone and my brother was supposed to come home on Monday morning..
After seeing the Dr. for less than 3 minutes...he called the hospital and made a reservation for me immediately..my brother drove me over and there I had to wait until they assigned me a case number...but they were two busy to get to it when I arrived because it was lunch.....so after making about 30 profane statements all of which I cannot repeat here....and threatened to die on their waiting room floor, they finally sent a gurney for me, because I could no longer stand up because the pain was so excruciating...add to that, that once the Dr. saw me and examined me, he wanted to send me home, because my blood work had not indicated I had a ruptured appendix. Luckily he asked for a surgeons second opinion, which he said they needed to go in and at least look....once they had gotten in there...they found my appendix had perferated. The Dr. said it was a real mess, but they got it all cleaned up and still only had to go in via the lathroscopic surgert, so I only have 2 small scars vs one big one...the surgeon said I was about 2 hours from death....I apparently started sliding downhill fast and it became an emergency surgery....next thing I remember is holding the pain medication clicking the dispenser...8 days later I got out of the hospital....
