All of the talk about haveing rights to names. Does Hasbro still own the Bumblebee name?

I'm not for sure. But they can always go with the Autobot Bumblebee name. I think that is a clever way to rename a TF that they lost the name rights to by putting Autobot or Decepticon before the name. Kind of works out good for me. Instead of giving them some new retarted name.

All of the talk about haveing rights to names. Does Hasbro still own the Bumblebee name? It looks like they don't have the trademark on the name anymore. They called the Heroes of Cybertron Bumblebee w/ Spike set the "Autobot Espionage Team" with no mention of Bumble. I'm sure they could get around this with "Autobot Bumblebee", but I think Aaron Archer is tired of that song and dance. At the Hasbro panel at OTFCC, he said that the Mazda Alternator would be called "Meister" simply because they couldn't use the name Jazz anymore and that he was tired of the "Autobot Jazz" title. It doesn't bug me in the least though, I'd just call him Jazz anyhow. I really hope Takara/Hasbro can get the Volkswagen license, because Bumblebee as the new beetle would rock da house! I hear Vokswagen is hesitant though because they don't want their license to be used in association with a war toy. Maybe Takara/Hasbro could propose to make the Volkswagen Alternator _without_ a gun to make it seem less warlike. Sure I'd rather Bumblebee have a weapon, but if it's the only way...

Like make one with a flower? The real bugs come with that, afterall. Seriously - It is painful as Bumblebee & his automobile model would be an obvious choice for an updated look via an alternator. I wish they could work something out on this.
