CK first off all i was backing out of the argument because of the fact that i have no good reasons for plastic that you would except, just like not a single thing you have said about metal i except as a valid reason. its all opinion. And in my opinion i did give a very valid reason, metal feels heavy and clunky to me. there you go. if i dont like playing with it im not gonna buy it. simple. how is that not a good reason? i was trying to back out of the argument because its never going to end, its a classic forum argument, perpetuated by people who dont listen, on both sides, and has no real relivence. All you "facts" sound like opinions to me. The whole plastic breaks, metal breaks, no they dont crap is all personal experience. Plus we all like TF for different reasons, i like plastic because it allows ball joints and i am a possability sleeper. I like Alt over BT not because of cost but becasue i dont like the over shiny and hard to get BT. im not a car guy so i dont care if they feel real or look for like a car. i like alt plain and siple if its an opinion and not a fact well its my money ok i think thats all for now

Hey - that's cool. That is exactly what I was asking for. Just reasons. Just wanted some elaboration.
The only thing regarding plastic breaking and metal breaking is that for G1 - I have never heard, seen, or experienced the metal breaking - only the plastic. So I am just looking for issues of the metal breaking in G1 to compare it to the frequency of the plastic breaking in G1. That's all. To me, the breaking plastic was a major weakness for the toy line, so I was surprised a little bit when I saw the plastic side point to metal breaking as a problem.

word. i think the idea is that the metal didnt break it was the plastic parts, and since not many all plastic toys break many people blame it on the metal componants. if this is valid is up to debate. but eh to each thier own.

Like I said, the price, breaking issues (whether it's due to plastic or metal), and poseability are the issues w/ me. I always feel like I come out of these arguments as an "anti-g1er", but I loves me some g1; I wish I had more of em.
