Let me first credit Bear with my new found addiction....I had done very well for the past year fending off the urge to buy these guys....after Bear's post I actually was shopping and decided to pick up about 4 of the new ones......I love 'em!
Not only do they have a variety, but you can actually pick them up readily....I am lacking only 7 now, and Ijust started collecting them yesterday...literally...
I have not freed them from their packages, but I am not sure if I will at this time, because it makes them easier for me to store.
I then went to http://www.Playmatestoys.com...and low and behold they have a fantastic website with a list of all available products, with the exception of a coupleof figures missing, it seemed complete from my knowledge of the line. Imagine my surprise to find a toy company promoting a main line that way...I was in shock...it definitely rivals the Hasbro-TF one...very much unlike Mattel and any of their websites, but I won't go down that path right now.....
I am now hooked!

WOOHOOOO!!! ![](http://img8.photobucket.com/albums/v28/gunman_sr5/7_5_131.gif) CK has taught me well ![](http://img44.photobucket.com/albums/v136/TTC_Forum/coffee.gif) You listed everything I like about Turtles as well. You did leave out one thing though. The simplicity of them. There is nothing fancy about them. No over done poses. No 583 points of aticulation. No super rare chasers. It is just a good old fashioned action figure line. There has never been a figure that I had to go buggy to search for. Plus stores always carry a nice supply. Never really seen empty pegs, but I know they move because of character availability. Best thing is I have someone to talk Turtles with now ;D

Exactly....which brings me to my very first question....is Quarry out? I show him listed in the figure line up onthe back of the card, but on the website...any insite on that? The only thing I am having problems finding is an original Shredder, but I imagine that will be found soon enough, as I really haven't hit many places...
Also, did you see the TRU Swat Team Turtle set? Looks sweet with the little mousers they have with it...

I meant to tell you that. Don't look for Quarry. She got help up till next year. Many rumors have been brought in reguards to why. The most accurate one to my knowledge is she was going to spit water or "Venom" and they couldn't get it to work quite right.
I did see the Turtle Swat team. I love it, but I don't think I would pay the $50.00 price tag for it. When you add up what comes with it you are only saving like $5.00. Plus there is going to be a Mouser 6 pack out in the figure line.

Excellent! Have you bought any of the other vehicles? I am not doing the mutations or any of those...none of teh special kickin' skatin'divin' crud...I just want the straight up figs...no slime involved.....by they way...where is Bebop and Rocksteady? You can't have TMNT without them!

You can't have TMNT without them! The original creators of TMNT have some creative control over the line this time. They absolutely hated Bebop and Rocksteady, so I wouldn't look for them any time soon. As far as the Mutations go I haven't bought any either. I am more a straight up figure guy. I might get the Mutations Shredder though. His Oroiku Saike costume looks pretty cool. I have the smaller vehicles except the Turtle sub, but I will probably wind up with that some time.

No offense to you guys & your collection of the line - but if it doesn't have Bebop and Rocksteady, it ain't TMNT.

The reason they didn't like them that well is they felt that they dumbed down the cartoon. Apparently when Eastman and Liard were aproached by the first cartoon they were mislead about the show. They were never told it was going to be so corny.

I was really hoping they would bring them in..I liked them in the original, but they were a couple of bumblers.... ;D

From what I've heard, the new show follows the comic closer than it follows the old show; bebop and rocksteady weren't in the comic, so they won't be in the toon. Speaking of the toon, have you guys been watching it? It's really good. I picked up utrom the other day, and what surprised me is that he's not hard plastic; he's...squishy, just like a brain should be. I thought that was pretty cool. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

I haven't opened any of them yet, but once I get the new shelves and stuff in my office, i will probbly go ahead and open them at that point. I have watched some of the cartoon...which was another catalyst for me picking this line up. I love the multitude of characters and the support Playmates gives their toylines.

I have not heard anything to the contrary yet.
If you need a Nanotech let me know I have seen a couple of him around lately.

Whatever happened to Baxter Stockman becoming the Fly?

iirc, he never turned into a fly in the comic, and the new toon is following the comic closer than the old toon.
