Around the mid-eighties, Sega put toy manufacturer Tonka in charge of distributing their Japan-based video game system - the Sega SG-1000 Mark III (or simply, Mark III) - in the United States. Tonka gave it a new design and released it here as the Sega Master System one year after the original Nintendo hit the U.S. market. The game console didn't see a lot of success, but it did see a release of a few good games. One of these games developed a cult following in the U.S. The series was Phantasy Star, and it saw 4 releases during the SMS & Genesis era. The original was the only one released on the Sega Master System. You've seen some of my recent hauls - I finally acquired the official game cartridge even though I have already played through it. Well this weekend marked (no pun intended) the arrival of the *original* Phantasy Star. So without any more words, I present - shipped straight from Japan (in *4* days!) the original, boxed, complete...Phantasy Star for the Sega Mark III. ![](http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b40/estation/psmark3.jpg) ... I've been chasing this one for a long time.

Yesterday I scored all 5 of the new DCUC figures for Series 1. Today I went to Toys R Us at Willowbrook (which I had been there yesterday) and they had nothign, but as I was driving, I was going to pass it up, but something inside me said, "just stop...go in see what they have and leave"
Well to my surprise, I walked out with the JLU Mr. Miracle 3 pack and Ultra Humanite 3 pack, I was looking for! Whooohoo!

Wow! Today I found a figure from a line I once thought was dead...yes folks, I scored a Hawkman from The Batman! I missed the GL, but I am sure that will be next!
Hawkman is awesome!

This is from the last few days, and is composed of nothing from my Christmas lists:
DC Kingdom Come trade softcover Superman: Red Son trade softcover Heroes: Volume 1 trade hardcover (collection of the official online comics from Season 1)
And the best haul - I finally filled the hole in my Transformers DVD collection: Beast Wars First Season
With getting the entire first season, I now have as extra the first two discs in the original single release cases. I am willing to send these free to anyone who has never seen Beast Wars, or who caught some random episodes but never really watched, for the purpose of trying out the series at no personal cost but time. All I ask is that if you do not want to keep the discs (or if you go out and buy the entire series!), you pass them along to someone else wanting to give it a try.
