G man does the 2 disc set have the special edition and prequel DVD? Or just a regular DVD and the prequel?
I heard it was just the regular DVD and prequel so I picked up the transforming DVD special edition from Target
it's a really cool item plus has a comic

Just prequil. Its not that great either. Grant it Fank and Peter voicing over the semi animated prequil comic isn't to bad.

I just got the regular basic Widesreen DVD from Wal-Mart. I really didn't like alot of the offerings, as I am not into those thigns...I was torn between the Target one and the basic one at Wal-mmart...

Single-disc version of the movie. Unfortunately, the Target Rebekkah went to get it for me was apparently out of the ones with the comic packaged on them (which is why I wanted it from Target). ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png)

It ruined my plan for the day. (I was gonna watch movies while I cut out fabric for the girls' costumes...)

*replies back* "SEEEEEE-GAAAAAAAAA!" Cool stuff, Chris! Does the lithium battery still work inside Phantasy Star? I seem to remember that game being insanely expensive when it first came out. I mean like in the $70/80$ range! I don't think I ever owned it, but my old friend Brian used to so I got to play his.

Actually, it does. I powered it up after opening it earlier today and saw that it had several save games still stored in there. I've played the game through once before on an emulator. I would like to go through it on the cartridge so it feels a bit more "real."
There were a lot of cartridge-based games (mostly RPGs) that reached ridiculous cost levels as the cart years of video gaming progressed. Game "printing" nowadays on CDs and DVDs must be one of the cheapest ways to manufacture a game. No shortage of rom chips this time!
