Haven't posted about any of my finds lately. Anyway, I was in Redbank, New Jersey over the weekend for a Kevin Smith book signing (met him too, he's a great guy!), and they had a shop nearby called "Cel-ebration" that specializes in cartoon cels from every era. Most of it was Disney and Warner Bros (not really my cup of tea), but then I stumbled upon THIS... It was kind of pricey, but I couldn't pass it up! It's such an iconic scene from the original Inspector Gadget 'toon, Dr Claw at his desk with Madcat!! Not counting the border, it measures 10" across, is hand-painted, and multi-layered. The background and desk is one layer, then Claw's arm and Madcat a second layer, and then the chair is in the foreground. The computer screen with Gadget is also a separate piece. Anyway, I'm going to get it professionally framed and it will have a place of honor on our wall. It came with a certificate of authenticity too. It's so neat to have a piece of history like this!! *does the Dr Claw laugh* Hehehahahahahaaaaaa...
